Do you think it's doable with the delays in between mobs? For me, the biggest problem was the lack of energy on monks after a wave and the skill recharges.

Mob sizes have been dramatically cut and you have more breather time.
Wiping isn't basically an instant failure either.

I'm annoyed I won't get to try it myself on my Nec - I'll have to settle for trying it on my Mes with a close enough setup to what my Nec takes.

I forgot about the nerf before doing this with my warrior. I had developed a build I called chickway and loaded consumables for all my other characters. Splinter with barrage helped a lot before the nerf. I had to get food for the two year old after I started BLA for my warrior after the nerf. My heroes were flagged to the first stairs. I came back 35 minutes later to salma's victory talk. Lawlz, pin and forget. 3 more characters to slog through now.

Wiping was an instant failure before? You could get a good two wipes in from the horde of Jades and push them back before they shambled over to the castle proper.

Can anybody tell me a successful strategy for a 2-human-team (*) to overcome the first big jade group? So far (before and after nerf) this group consisting of around a dozen jades including a jade warrior boss steamrolled everything we put in its way.

* = we are an elementalist and a monk and we would fill up the team either with guild members or with heroes

if the boss annoys, ele go ER prot and spam protective spirit? and just spam prots like there is no tomorrow, shouldnt be a problem....

battle for LA is cakewalk since they nerfed it and for that matter it was a cakewalk before the nerf

BLA in NM practically plays itself. There is a good chance you could AFK by Salma and still win. HM isn't much harder then an average HM dungeon or vanquish, significantly easier if you use the NPCs right.
